Why did you decide to become a member at Impact Hub Inverness?
I was struggling to concentrate whilst working from home during Covid restrictions. I have two young children and it wasn’t possible to focus with so many distractions at home. I also needed a professional community around me to keep me going as I set up Àban.
What has your experience of being an Impact Hub Inverness member been like so far?
Total lifesaver! Being able to work in a professional environment has been essential for my wellbeing. Àban has been funded by Firstport and Unlimited, and that funding has come with really good formal mentoring and business support.
However, the team at the Impact Hub has always been there to answer lots of informal questions that pop up in my mind from day to day and in some ways having that chatty support is just as important as the formal business support.
The office space is very clean and the wifi and coffee is excellent!
Would you recommend Impact Hub Inverness, and if so what would you say to anyone considering joining as a member?
Yes, I would recommend it. The rates are really reasonable, the city centre location is great (especially if you’re cycling or walking!). It's an easy cliché to say it provides a community but the Impact Hub genuinely does, not just the team but all the other members.
Finally, describe Impact Hub Inverness in 3 words!
Friendly, cool, experts!
