Please describe the work Impact Hub Inverness has done with your organisation
"We commissioned IHI to carry out an evaluation of the Gairloch & District Times, our local community newspaper, through engagement with the community and key stakeholders.
The community's experience with repeated lockdowns spurred us to evaluate our effectiveness in promoting community development and unity in the Gairloch Parish Area through our publication of local stories, news, articles, and other types of informational content.

"This evaluation helped G&DT innovate to remain relevant and engaging for readers, subscribers, local businesses, community organisations, and visitors. As a direct result of the action plan, we have been able to steer the paper through an extremely difficult period, and have re-structured both the committee and employee resources.
The paper itself has become more focused on the importance of becoming sustainable, there is a new emphasis on improving content delivery, and finance and administration processes have been tightened up.
As a result, we anticipate the paper continuing to provide the local community with a valuable source of information and social content moving forwards, and with a greater level of sustainability brought about through increasing online subscriptions – although we fully intend continuing with a printed item according to demand, online subscriptions are clearly more cost effective in the long term."

The main outcomes of this project were:
- A Covid 19 Impact Report, which assessed how we had been meeting our constitutional objectives since the lockdown. This report included findings from the community and stakeholder engagement conducted by IHI, evaluating the newspapers impact on the community. It also provided key insights and recommendations that were incorporated into our action plan.
- An Action Plan aimed at ensuring the future sustainability and growth of the newspaper. This plan outlined key metrics for measuring our performance and established a framework for ongoing monitoring of our impact."
