Meet Simon!Organisation: food4innov8ions Ltd
Tell us what you do: I love food, which led me directly to my chosen career in the food industry. I'm a food technologist by training and I've had the good fortune to work for M&S, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, innocent drinks, and Pret A Manger. Each of these roles has been focused on new product development and innovation, and later sustainability as well. |
After leaving Waitrose I founded "food4innov8ions" with my husband Neil Sykes with the intention of helping SME's to get more value from their ideas, with the people they already have, simply by being purpose and mindset driven.

Why did you decide to become a member at Impact Hub Inverness?
I wanted to be a part of the local small business and social enterprise network, as part of moving to Scotland was to participate more in the community. The Impact Hub was the obvious central point to begin to build our connections, have fun, and meet great people while doing so.
What has your experience of being an Impact Hub Inverness member been like so far?
It is a warm and friendly space, with a real sense of community, generosity, and compassion. When I meet someone at the Impact Hub I feel like we will get on as we are likely to have similar values - having chosen to be a member. The location is perfect and the facilities are ideal for breaking up the working week with a more social way of working than being at home.
Would you recommend Impact Hub Inverness, and if so what would you say to anyone considering joining as a member?
I wholeheartedly recommend joining Impact Hub Inverness. Come in an try it out, talk to members, and participate where you can with what is going on - it will be as good as you make it.
